The pinnacle of sub $20 California Chardonnay is Cambria Katherine's Vineyard! Vineyard specific and estate grown, Katherine's is named after owner Barbara Banke's (of Kendall-Jackson fame) eldest daughter. Comprised of both old clone Chardonnay and cutting-edge profiles, each of the 34 blocks is farmed on an individual basis and the expression from each block is blended to create a beautiful expression of the Santa Maria Valley. Bright fruit notes and spice aromas are combined with citrus, pineapple, white peach and apple flavors which carry through the mid-palate onto the lengthy finish. Antonio Galloni rates this 94 Points in back-to-back vintages, and The Wine Spectator included Katherine's Vineyard in their 2021 Top Value Wines. Don't miss this fantastic California Chardonnay!

Vinous Media: 94 Points

"The 2021 Chardonnay Katherine's Vineyard is notable. Bright and chiseled, the 2021 bristles with tension. Citrus peel, chamomile, white flowers, mint and tangerine oil are some of the notes that grace this exquisite Santa Maria Chardonnay. Partial aging in steel keeps the flavors bright." Antonio Galloni - Vinous Media, 94 Points

Wine Enthusiast: 91 Points

"Broad aromas of white pear, poached apple and citrus peel draw the nose into this widely popular bottling. There's a yuzu and grapefruit zestiness to the palate, giving an edge to the fleshy pear core." The Wine Enthusiast, 91 Points

Jeb Dunnuck: 91 Points

"Beautiful orchard fruits, toasted bread, and some sappy flower notes all emerge from the 2021 Chardonnay Katherine's Vineyard, a medium to full-bodied, beautifully balanced, elegant wine that has nicely integrated acidity as well as a supple, up-front, delicious style." Jeb Dunnuck, 91 Points

Wine Spectator: 90 Points

"Remarkably balanced, with details of fresh, crisp apple, citrus and pear that mingle with salted butter pastry and touches of brown sugar on a supple, creamy frame. Reveals a touch of lemongrass on the finish." The Wine Spectator, 90 Points
