Aged 18 months in French barrique, the Grifi is a classic where Sangiovese's freshness perfectly merges with the ripe flavors and backbone of Cabernet Sauvignon. We enjoyed after an hour decant, but the Avignonesi Grifi could easily cellar for the next 10-15 years.

"A linear and tight red with very fine, firm and polished tannins. They nicely frame the wine and give a savory and almost salty undertone. Currants and cherries with some orange peel notes. Just a hint of tomato leaves. Medium chewy. 65% cabernet sauvignon and 35% sangiovese. From biodynamically grown grapes. Vegan. Best after 2026." James Suckling, 94 Points
