Tavel is the Rhone’s singular rose-only appellation, with vineyards spread along the right bank of the Rhone river, not far from Avignon. A blend of mostly Grenache, with Clairette, Cinsault, and Mourvèdre, the charming 2022 is the standard-bearer of the region. With a bigger body than your typical wine from Provence, the Tavel showcases notes of strawberry cream with a mineral influenced watermelon palate. Very food friendly, this bright Rose would pair with anything from shellfish, to pasta, even pizza!
"Notes of raspberry, strawberry, and spices. Rosé from Tavel is flavorful, food-friendly, and raspberry pink." The Wine Enthusiast, 93 Points
