Here at The Wine Buyer, we love the wines of Hector Durigutti. He consistently makes some of the best value reds in the world and has been featured numerous times on the prestigious Wine Spectator Top 100 list. Two weeks ago, Durigutti Family Winemakers were voted a World's Best Vineyard in 2024, and their top 10 finish was the highest marks for any site in Argentina. One of our favorites is his Estate Cabernet Sauvignon from heritage sites in Altamira, planted in 1934, and one of the best places in the world to make these high elevation reds. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged in concrete eggs and third use French oak, if you're a fan of his other labels Clos d'Argentine, Alma de Los Andes or Los Bocheros, you'll immediately sense the Durigutti signature style, vibrant flavors of ripe blackberries, woven together with layers of floral and cedar notes. It's like drinking a $30 California Cabernet Sauvignon for $12.98 a bottle!
"Notes of ripe black and blue fruit with walnuts, chocolate and hints of graphite. Full-bodied, intense and layered with smooth, well-integrated tannins. Beautiful fruit that melts in the mouth, leaving you with notes of blue flowers and earth at the end. Vegan. Drink or hold." James Suckling, 92 Points
