Founded by Aurelio Montes of Purple Angel fame, he established Kaiken after falling in love with Argentina's terrior-driven wines. Already famous for his eponymous Chilean winery, Montes was one of the first to produce an "ultra-premium" red from a remote part of Colchagua Valley called Apalta.
