One of our top selling Italian wineries is Tinazzi from the northern Italian wine region of the Veneto. It carries an IGT designation, hence Super Venetian, and is a blend of two international varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot! More fruit forward than the Super Tuscan version of Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, think Villa Antinori, Argentiera, or even Ornellaia, Dugal clocks in at 15.0% but does not feel heavy or hot, just vibrant and modern with huge aromatics and lush fruit notes. When we first purchased this full-bodied Italian red back in 2018, Dugal was sold at our favorite NYC steakhouse for $85 a bottle...and that was a bargain!
