Sauvignon Blanc from Sonoma's Russian River Valley is an elusive treat. Loaded with aromas of stone fruits, lemongrass and white flowers, this elegant white is known for flavors of green apple, orange blossom and grapefruit with more richness than its cousins from France and New Zealand. Hard to find because there are very few Sauvignon Blanc vineyards planted in the Russian River AVA, with most space being taken by Pinot Noir or Chardonnay. When you do find it, these whites can rival some of the best in the world. Complementing everything from triple-cream cheeses to oysters, salads and grilled fish. If you're a fan of Merry Edwards Sauvignon Blanc, but not a fan of the $40+ price, this is a must have for the summer!
"Vibrant and distinctive displaying a complex mix of lime, ripe nectarine, peach and green tea notes along with a juicy core of lemon and grapefruit flavors. Crisp acidity and a touch of melon are found on the fresh, long finish." The Wine Buyer, 93 Points
