Located north of Toulouse and south of Bordeaux, the Chateau Laurou is an estate rich in history. Dotted with picturesque villages and churches, Fronton is an historic wine region first planted by the Romans, with certiied organic vineyards producing a low acid varietal called Négrette, normally blended with Syrah, Malbec, Cabernet Franc, and Cinsault. As such, the Les Complices is a medium-bodied blend of Négrette & Syrah, loaded with notes of blackberry, black plum, and blueberry fruit with toasted notes and baking spices, gracefully balanced for a long, juicy finish. It's the first wine from Fronton we've featured, and were blown away by how this charming red was so expressive, right out of the glass. A well deserved Gold Medal!
"Rapturous perfume inspires and is enhanced by a cooling breezy freshness which billows and swells along to the long and haunting finish. An assault on the senses! Gold Medal." Decanter Magazine, 96 Points
