The property is located at "Figeac," a place located to the west of Saint-Emilion and adjacent to the vineyard of the famous Grand Cru Classe Chateau Figeac whose 2020 release is being sold for $250 a bottle at minimum! From a blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, you are immediately hit with the classic blackberry, tobacco and cigar box aromas of Saint-Emilion. There is richness and concentration, refined but present tannin, mineral drive and a dark berry finish. Aging is 6 months in 100% new barrique before bottling. While we think the wine is soft enough to drink young, it's got the pedigree to last 10+ years in the cellar.
"One of the many wines that have Figeac in their name, this wine therefore comes from the west of Saint-Emilion. It is ripe, structured with dark fruits and solid tannins that need aging. Drink this young wine from 2025." The Wine Enthusiast, 91 Points
