One of the hottest properties in Bordeaux today is Chateau Senejac. It is located just outside of Margaux and is owned by the Cordier family which owns Chateau Talbot in Saint Julien. They also hired Eric Boissenot to manage the vineyards and make the wine, who also works with all the Grand Crus: Latour, Lafite-Rothschild, Margaux, Mouton-Rothschild, Palmer, Pichon Comtesse, Pichon Baron, Ducru-Beaucaillou, Léoville Barton, Brane Cantenac, Léoville La Cazes, and Gruaud-Larose! A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, the Senejac showcases the concentration, structure, and balance you come to expect from the Haut-Medoc. It’s an outstanding value that can be drunk now or cellared for another 5-7 years.
"This shows aromas of blackcurrants and black cherries with cocoa, pine cones, toasted spices and nut shell. Medium-bodied with round and polished tannins and a fine texture. Some delicious fruit character coming through turning to a chalky and crushed stone yet juicy finish. Try in 2024." James Suckling, 93 Points
