Don't miss this full-bodied blend of 95% Malbec & 5% Cabernet Sauvignon from high elevation vineyards in the Uco Valley! Sourced from estate vineyards in Vista Flores, this sub-region is considered by Tim Atkin to be one of the "Grand Crus" of Argentina. Dark violet in the glass with floral aromas and rich, ripe blackberry, plum and chocolate notes melted with blackcurrant and cassis display an excellent balance and freshness. There is an abundance of new French oak that plays well with the ripe fruit and tannins. If you've ever passed on Malbec thinking it's too one-dimensional, the Dark Amethyst is a perception altering bottle.
