The Fog-Eater is Drew's Anderson Valley appellation Pinot Noir. In 2020 they selected two sites for this blend, both located in the deep end of the valley. They've combined a La Tache selection from the Wendling Vineyard with a Swan selection from Clow Ridge. Their aim has always been to layer and elevate complexity and showcase this very special northern coastal valley. The deep end is the northwestern end of the valley, it is closer to the ocean equating more fog influence. These cooler temps preserve the tautness and energy in this classic coastal Pinot Noir. The red fruit character leans toward cranberry and pomegranate with sage and red rose petals and distinctive forest mushroom character, with bright acidity preserving the freshness on the palate.
