One of the best values wines at The Wine Buyer, the Flaco Tempranillo hails from vineyards just outside the capital of Spain. Most Spaniards don't even know that Madrid makes incredible wines, but their vineyards contain a top layer of soil similar to Burgundy, almost pure limestone. Here, the vines are grown in decomposed granite, which they believe lends an unmistakable elegance and precision. We love wines that surprise us, as we thought this one was over $25 a bottle. Amazing for only $8.98.
"Elegant and inviting with fresh red berries and spices on the nose. Silky ripe cherries, spice and floral hints are graceful across the palate. The finish has nice length and exceptional balance. We had to double check the price on this one. Thought it was $25." The Wine Buyer, 92 Points
