95 Point Bordeaux from the Bouard family, known for their Right Bank holdings at Chateau Angelus for $21.99 a bottle! If you're not a big Bordeaux drinker, we'll give you the heads up that the 2020 vintage of Angelus was just released for $375 a bottle. You can see why we were so excited to offer the Lion de la Fleur for a fraction of the price. Purchased in 1998 by Hubert de Bouard, La Fleur sits in the appellation of Lalande de Pomerol, just north of its prestigious cousin Pomerol. While it misses the glitz and glamor of the Medoc, these amazing wines showcase the region and the vintage beautifully. Their 25 hectare vineyard is planted to 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, and multiple critics have commented about the 2020s "pop & pour" nature. Antonio Galloni comments, "This plush, heady Lalande de Pomerol is succulent and bold right out of the gate." while Jeb Dunnuck highlights the 2020s "velvety tannins and notable purity." 95 point Bordeaux that you can drink today. Don't miss it!
"Lots of blueberry and blackberry character with firm, chewy tannins and a flavorful finish. It’s full-bodied and very polished." James Suckling, 94-95 Points
